The Versace Palazzo Dubai is possibly one of the most anticipated upcoming hotels. It will have a limited edition of exclusive condominiums available for purchase, ranging from 1 to 6 storeys and even some duplex residences. The project is being developed by Emirates PV Dubai and will allow clients a complete Versace experience. The Palazzo Versace in Australia has the unique distinction of being the world’s first fashion branded hotel. It opened for guests in September 2000 and has gone from strength to strength since. Versace has brought the grand luxury that was previously confined only to Europe to the land down under. The hotel is Located in one of Australia’s most famous areas, Gold Coast; Gold Coast has something for everyone, you can explore the ‘new worlds,’ Dreamworld, Sea World, WB Movies World, and Wet n Wild Water World. Guests can shop at the exclusive Versace boutique located at the hotel or at the nearby Marina Mirage. Palazzo Versace consists of 200 rooms and suites all with Bespoke Versace furnishings, floor to ceiling windows, to add to the romance there is a couple sized spa bath as well. Prices for this exclusive Gold Coast hotel range from $530 to $2,200.

Unusual Collaborations

You might think that today’s article is fashion related … well it kind of is. You will see.

Have you ever seen a Gucci car? Well today we are focusing on things as absurd as this one.

Fiat 500 Gucci

Cute as a button but still maintaining serious catwalk intent, the Fiat 500 Gucci edition was released in 2013 and featured the famous colour scheme of the Italian design house. A mere 101 examples were offered in Australia and the car featured Gucci badging, Gucci-inspired interior and a new set of GG inscribed wheels.

Maserati Quattroporte Zegna 

Featuring only the finest fabrics, the Zegna-inspired Maserati Quattroporte placed emphasis on quality additions rather than some of the sticker packs here. The high fashion brand’s silks were used as inserts for the seats, door cards and headliner.

Bugatti  Chiron Hermes 

Not one to shy away from a special edition, the Bugatti Chiron featured many over its lifespan. However, few came more exclusive than the four-example Chiron FBG par Hermès edition. The exterior featured many of the brand’s H logos while the bespoke interior was designed in house by the Paris Hermès team.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Versace edition

It’s hard to believe some people need a Lamborghini Murcielago to be more special than it already is, but here we are. The Versace collaboration with Lamborghini gave birth to a specially designed Murcielago LP640 that featured the designer’s distinct pattern on the door sill, and a two-tone Versace leather interior. A luggage set was also available for customers to option.

2021 BMW R 18 FIRST LOOK

You want to impress somebody? With such a beast you definitely will. Dynamic people die to ride and feel free. Another option for them is appearing on the horizon. The long-awaited mega cruiser from BMW is here. Inspired by the classic R 5 from the 1930s, the 2021 BMW R 18 looks ready for profiling and performance. Let’s dig right in.

The all-new Big Boxer motor displaces 1802cc and uses pushrods. There are four valves in each head and one cam per cylinder, with separate pushrods for the intake and exhaust valves. Fork rocker arms act on the valves. The intake valves are 41.2mm in diameter with the exhaust measuring 35mm, with a screw and locknut design for adjustment. It’s a big bore, with 107.1mm cast-aluminum pistons, plus a 100mm stroke through the Nikasil-lined cylinder. The motor weighs 244 pounds, but we don’t have a weight for the entire motorcycle.

The 2021 BMW R 18’s power production is all about torque. It may be oversquare, but it still cranks out a beastly 116 ft-lbs of torque at just 3000 rpm. The torque spread is broad, with over 110 ft-lbs of force available from 2000 to 4000 rpm. The Big Boxer peaks out a 91 horsepower at 4750 rpm.

Three power modes with additional electronic aids are standard. The names of the modes are both colloquial and intuitive—Rain, Roll, and Rock. Traction control and engine braking vary with each mode, along with throttle response. Hill Start Control will be optional.

Further, the cylinder heads and engine housing cover do not touch the oil chamber, which means they can be swapped without major engine work.

BMW goes with the classic shaft drive, and this time the driveshaft is exposed. Up until 1955, it was typical for a BMW driveshaft to be exposed, but then life got more civilized. The 2021 BMW R 18 brings back the visceral look of a spinning shaft. There are universal joints at each end of the shaft, with a bevel and ring gear in the rear wheel.

 

The 2021 BMW R 18 is made for customizing. The rear subframe is easily removed for modification or painting. The hydraulic lines and cables are designed for easy detachment, so different bars can be installed. Further, the cylinder heads and engine housing cover do not touch the oil chamber, which means they can be swapped without major engine work.

Roland Sands Designs, Vance & Hines, and Mustang Seats are all working with BMW for at-dealer customization.

Customized

There will be a First Edition of the 2021 BMW R 18 with exclusive paint, chrome, plus many exclusive detail touches and bonus goodies. The First Edition will run $19,880, with the base model coming in later at $17,495. There is no production date set, though BMW expects production to begin before the end of 2020.

Collaborations have recently blown up in the industry being more and more in demand. Each collection of collaborations is an exclusive limited edition making them extremely pricey, especially because most collabs are between high fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Off White, Vandalized, Nike and many more of this class. Here are some of the most demanded collaborations made recently:

NIKE x OFF WHITE

Since it’s creation Off White have been working with Nike and to this day there is a new Nike x Off White collection every year. Their most demanded product is undeniably the Air Force One modded by off white numerous times with thousands of variations of this model.

PUMA

Solebox x PUMA Clyde
Solebox collaborated on the Clyde to bring you a clean shoe with a reptile formstripe.

Puma has always been open for collaborations making one of their most iconic models the suede a test subject to all these brands wanting to share a design with them.

They have some obscure models among all these collabs but this is not all they’ve got. They also have some stylish suggestions that can catch the eye of good taste: the

PUMA x Karl Lagerfeld are one such example.

SUPREME

Supreme is a brand that is famous for it’s controversial design language. This time they may have decided to take things one step too far. Or have they?

The notorious Supreme x Louis Vuitton hoodie. Famous with rappers, hypebeasts and other people that like to take things one extra step in fashion. Love it or hate it you’ve got to admit that it is iconic!

Back to the roots

You might know the person on the picture. His name is Giorgio Armani, one of the most renown fashion designers to walk this earth, possessing a mind blowing 5.5 billion USD, despite that fact he is famous for his humble character giving away millions  to charity every year.

When I  was in Milan I saw this  extraordinary person doing the same thing that he does on this photo that I stumbled upon. To see Giorgio Armani himself dressing the mannequin in his own store on Via Montenapoleone. That made me think, that if this man can still do work in his own shops besides his own net worth, then everyone should remember where they started from and to never forget that.

Exploiting the Virus

Since the start of the coronavirus  pandemic some fashion brands decided to use this as an opportunity to present some new designs and make profit. The designs however proved to be rather unusual.

They decided to start a new line of facemasks worth a lot more than your average mask.

It is Always The Right Time for Diamonds

It’s not a time to travel, yes. It is not the time to have fun with friends and enjoy the crazy nights out. Right now is the time to stay home to follow the rules of this global difficult situation all over the world. But meantime, we can improvise, do some studies how to save money and do some great investments that can help us for future happy life.

Of course there is only one important condition …to have enough money. And so if we have it, then always is the right time for diamonds! And the higher the quality of a diamond, the more expensive it is.

Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is delighted to welcome Virgil Abloh as its new Men’s Artistic Director. His first show will take place in June during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris. This text you can find on Louis Vuitton’s Instagram profile.

Abloh is the founder of Off-White, and is also Kanye West’s Creative Director and longtime collaborator. West and Abloh also interned together at Fendi in 2006.

Abloh is set to show his first collection for Louis Vuitton during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris in June.

Of his new role with Louis Vuitton, Abloh said (via WWD), “It is an honor for me to accept the position of men’s artistic director for Louis Vuitton. I find the heritage and creative integrity of the house are key inspirations and will look to reference them both while drawing parallels to modern times.”
